Catching up with your Glog CD and as we have come to know all of your photos depict how much you put into your plants.

Just awesome...thrilled to see you have luck with both Cardi accessions. Both of my flexi plants has lots of flowers,I understand it's

a more cold tolerant than other wilds so will see.

Update on tea bag isolation try.

I had fairly good success for a first time spur of the moment let me give this idea  a try..out of the 6 bags I attached 2 of the peppers

stem dried up...and 4 stayed on till the  flower fell of & I left the orchid clip on as a marker..will give this some more thought  for next year.

I will check around for bigger tea bags, the bags for  tea (LIPTON) is bigger if I recall.

This was a just a first time trial...will see what other ideas I(or others) can come up with. :P

Should work. In reality tea bags are cheap can still do several at once.

Oui oui...totally agree....can mess up/rip a few & not fret about it. ;)

Decided to try something different to isolate some seeds as I didn't like covering my entire plant nor using my previous glue together

bag...so I got into thinking why not a tea bag, worth a try..so emptied it & and with some maneuvering sealed it with an orchid clip.

Then will leave the clip on the stem as a marker...will see...drawback,it's small, heck how many iso does one need? Can do one @ a time ..then bag another, its all 'bout the bag. ;)

Potential Bonchi candidate...C.Rhomboidium,seems to be thriving on minimal care..one other under consideration but it's a non pepper.

I have about 5 other rhombo plants..can't seem to  part with them..& the pepper is nothing to write home about. :shh:..pretty plant thou'. with

lovely yellow flowers.

My Galapagoense seedling got a good dose of rain & seems to be relishing in the high humidity which we humans loathe.

Look at all of those fruits just waiting for you...so happy you finally made the move..nice place.

Congrats SB & hope you spend many days chilling ..oh wrong choice of word LOL,now

you can indulge in all of the tropical fruits etc. that we dream of..I spend some time in South America

and we use to just go & pick ripe mangoes/papayas etc off the trees and eat it right then & there,it's

a great feeling, now fruits purchased takes forever to ripe & don't taste anyway like fresh..fresh is best always.

Anyway,looking forward to your adventures & photos...enjoy. ;)

BTW...Is a Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum)is on your to get list?

#1648545 Yellow Sauces - Keeping the Color

Apples & pears do have the negative effect you cited.

I  use turmeric or/and ripe mangoes for the sweetness to my sauces...turmeric is a great additive & used much in the hot sauce world.
I get the fresh rhizomes,(looks a bit like ginger)  from the local Indian grocery store  @ dirt cheap prices, alternately you can buy it in powder form.

Wear gloves as turmeric has staining powers...Turmeric is terrifically healthy with anti inflammatory and anti oxidant properties too.

It's either you make it your way/take a trip (long) or do without... it's good to have choices. ;)

Purple flower flexuosum..some pods ripened very early & are tiny. orangish.d/t what..IDNK..hopefully these many buds will have staying power.

WlIbt3g.jpg

Lanceolatum...lost all flowers..d/t significant  temp variability with the remaining bud formation eaten by the Asiatic Beetle..can't win always but you can't give in nor give up. ;)
