#1555730 Papaya

With thai hot peppers, right?

Plus, green papaya don't smell like feet! LOL

With Thai peppers or truly any hot pepper would work. Gotta be able to man up to the fish sauce though...

I take one part Franks.

One part heavy cream.

And one part mayo.

Whir and stir.

Get it all up in a squeeze bottle.

Splooge on tacos.

Shrimps.

Sammiches.

Ever dang 'thang.

The beauty of it is this....

This will be your favorite splooge.

And then you sub your favorite hot sauce for the Frank's.

And now you have a new favorite splooge.

Here me now.

Bleed me later.

Brilliant!! You sir are a man of many talents!

Had one tree get fruits that got close here, but cold weather just doesn't cooperate.

I like the green papaya better than the ripe - used as a salad - it's refreshing and crisp and delicious!

That looks beautiful Crispee!

My mom always plants hers near the air conditioning unit. She says the wind from it blows away those nasty maggot wasps before they are able to infect the fruit.

My papaya got taken out by Irma before it became productive

#1555507 Weird Pepper Plant

Posted by Muckyai on Yesterday, 07:43 AM in Pepper I.D.

Three months of care for something not even a pepper. That's a bummer. You should give the vendor thread a look-see. I can vouch for several of them including White Hot Peppers and Midwest Chili heads as being fine upstanding purveyors of huge selections of authentically labeled chili seed -priced affordably too!

This is her current method... Standing under the tree taking aim with a water hose while shouting "Yeah! Come get some!"

They seem to be taunting her by eating the fruit on the low branches closest to the living room windows.ecf7bbee84ca5af344e4e87a58dac48d.jpg

I'm not sure how old it is. I just picked it up at the rare fruit tree show here on Sunday.

(That show was awesome! Got a finger lime plant and an ice cream plant too!! Was eyeballing a peanut butter plant... But you can't get everything.. )

Apparently it easily cultivates from the vine cuttings. I noticed that the leaves look a lot like betel leaves and apparently they are in the same family. Hopefully it will grow like a weed like my betel plant.

I'll post updates on how this guy is doing. :)
