What the Hell is a Trinidad Viper Super Hot Chile?

See note halfway down the page...tried e-mailing Gerald, but he didn't bother answering me days ago. I've had very poor germination of their seed so I'm not sure anyways. My Chocolate Bhuts had 0% germination! :( Got them from another source - 80-90% germination. Maybe bad luck...who knows.

Possible hybrid? TrinieCoolie, TriniHottie, others...any clue? lol.

Chris

Don't know what it is but I look forward to finding out!!!

According to the site..."stay-tuned for additional information".

Chileseeds.co.uk was once a good company in my opinion but since the super-hotties have come out over the recent years, they seemed to have changed their marketing for the worse and are now often relying on re-selling unproven hyped-up seeds

hhhmmmmm just googled it and every hiot goes to the same website!!! I think its probably a gimmic or a catchy name ...

Trinidad Viper[/B] or Viper's Fang (Capsicum Chinense) is a Caribbean, red, fang-shaped, hot chili pepper from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Named after the Viper (snake) which his fangs it resembles in shape. rarely used for culinary purposes as the locals (and most animals) stay away from it due to its extremely high Capsaicin content. HPLC (High-performance liquid chromatography) tests done by the local Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute or simply CARDI claim an unprecedent 6,200,000 Scoville heat units (SHU) rating, which is surpsing as Capsaicin in its pure form only rates slightly above 15,000,000 SHU and the Naga Jolokia, the current Guinness World Records for hottest is "only" rated at 1,001,304 SHU.

This extremely rare chili pepper has started to gain recognition in the inner circles of the chili pepper community. nothing more is known as of now.
Here's what I found.

6,200,000 Scoville heat units?

All believability went out the door when they said that. There is no way it is 6x a bhut jolokia.

If it was really this crazy hot we would have heard about it before. It is probably just a renamed scorpion.

Edit: OK you were joking. LOL

It's called Mail Fraud in the United Socialists of America.Good luck getting the Feds to do anything about it though...to busy taking over Detroit and Wall Street! You should definately notify the Postal Inspector though, enough complaints come in,might get them shut down.I recently won a small battle with Virgin Mobile.Don't mess with the FCC!
