hot-sauce Mad Dog 357 magnum 5,000,000 scoville extract

maddog357.jpg

it is what it is. Five million scoville extract. It is very hot. All I need to do is sample some on a toothpick, and my mouth is on fire. I have covered my finger tip with it and sampled it that way. There is no point in doing so. It didn't seem much hotter than a toothpick sample. With these extracts, it is about how long it stays in your mouth. If you swollow it quick, it is obviously not going to be as hot. That is a good way to get a bad stomach ache. So, when I want to feel the burn I dip a toothpick in it, lick it off, and let it sit in my mouth for a few seconds to really feel it.

This stuff is a great collectors item. It is also good to test on your chili head friends that claim they can handle anything. the price is not too bad either. I paid $49 shipped for a 1.7 oz bottle. It should last me a long time. My problem is I don't know what to do with this stuff. I bought it and planned on mixing it with everything. For example, adding a drop to my mustard to make it hot. The problem is it is too thick to mix up well. Unless I want to shake up the bottle all day long. It comes out like pancake syrup. I tried using a dropper. Half of the stuff sticks in the dropper. This stuff is too expensive to waste it like that. I like my 1 million extract alot better for spicing sauces up. It is way thinner, so it mixes up alot better. I am not sure how I am going to put this extract to good use. Any ideas?

Add a liquid and thin it out a bit, water, vinegar, flavored or not, wine, beer, booze, or get used to shaking things. Good luck.

vodka indeed or some shine if you do such things alcohol works a lot better than vinegar or oils.

I'm thinking about buying some of this stuff to add to other sauces to make them super hot! This looks like the most reasonably priced extract, especially considering the super high scoville rating.

Just remember the heat comes with a price. Just ask SY how extract sauces taste.......

.....and FEEL!

Maybe try CaJohns Z, it's 4m and only cost about $16 for a 5oz. bottle. I have not opened it, but I'm sure it is hot.

I don't recall Cajohn ever making a hot sauce with a net 4 million SHU. I have a signed bottle of "Z" and I can't find a rating.

Please let us know what you think when you open it! ;)

Lol correction.....it was Hot Pooper who almost died eating the extract. I have dodged the bullet of temptation and never tried more than the end of a toothpick.

Mad Dog tastes like dog cr@p! And for the $49 price, no way!

You can find 1mil extracts for <$20 if you look.

Salsakid and I tasted 357 in a restaurant about 6 months ago. I had a drop on a fry and managed to gag it down. He dipped the tip of a fry into a dash on his plate, started to eat it and got this, open-mouthed look of horror on his face and was looking around for where to spit it out. Paper napkins to the rescue.

And this was after tasting several other sauces they had in a basket including Tabasco, Melinda's Habanero and a couple others.

I had to back to original post just to make sure I'd read it right-
"I paid $49 shipped for a 1.7 oz bottle. "
OMG!

I think I will follow the philosophy of only eating non extract sauces, I never hear anything but bad taste and bad experiences.

Fresh is best naturally.

Well I ended up picking up a bottle of this for around $37 (still a lot of money for 1.7oz, I know). This stuff has to be the hottest shit on this planet! I took a toothpick tip of it, and the burn was absolutely insane! Made all sauces taste like ketchup! This stuff is seriously dangerous! I couldn't even imagine what eating anything more than toothpick of it would do to a person.

I want some of this.. I think the bottle looks cool.

I'll stick to my Source for when I want something spicy though, probably won't open this if I get it
