What was the last spicy meal you cooked?

And how did it turn out?

I was in the mood for wings, but wasn't going to do anything fancy, just wanted something quick using what was in the house. Baked the wings in the oven with a dry rub of cayenne, Death Rain, pepper, and bih jolokia powder (from Muso2112). Took them out and coated with Cap'n's savina sauce. Pretty good for a quick meal.

There is not a vegetarian.

And many vegans.

That would not think for even a second.

While looking at those pics.....

"I'll just pick off the bacon!"

Which in itself should be a federal crime.

I'd also share those wonderful morsels with my dear sweet wife's dog.

Trouble.

I love Trouble!

And because....

Fantastic food.

And tender moments.

Now that the eggplant is really rolling in from my garden, it's time to make some baba ganoush. I roasted the garlic, along with the eggplant. So tasty!

That is a eggplant dish i might like. Not really a fan of eggplant in general.

Tossed a chuck roast on the grill just long enough to get a good sear on it. Slow cooked it in some stock with a mess of onions, garlic and pretty simple spice selection. Added some Taiwanese cabbage, taters and carrots. Good seized splooge of some LaoGanMa Chili Crisp with black beans at serving...its was splooge wasnt it?

Tonight's dinner, even though it wasn't cooked it was bloody spicy. Polish sausage, homemade sausage, Black pepper Pepato cheese, truss tomatoes seasoned with salt, pepper and smoked Cayenne powder and my own Scotch Bonnet black olives.

Here's the black olives I brined just over a year ago. I included some Scotch Bonnets in the mix. The olives turned out full of Scotch Bonnet flavor and are very spicy, true chillihead heat level.

I love me a good glass (bottle lol) of wine and I would pop open a nice Cabernet Sauvignon with that dish. Perfect

Black bean stew today but using a really mild Black Forest sausage

Sofrito with a little Trinidad perfume and others from the garden. Pretty mild actually until i add some zip.

A little Fricks hog jowl bacon and some frozen pork meat balls. Cant find my tube of chorizo that is buried in the chest freezer. Probably toast some cumin seeds, coriander seeds and black lentils then grind it all into a powder as a thicker. Kinda like what is used for Sambar powder in India.
