Dillo's Tangerine Dream Hot Sauce

In the late sixties and early seventies there was a German electronic band called Tangerine Dream.

That name inspired me for today's hot sauce. I harvested a few habs and Lemon drops today and found a few cans of tangerines in the cellar. So I pureed all that with a thumb size piece of ginger and cooked the puree with apple vinegar, brown sugar, salt, a bit of mustard and lemon juice. After boiling up I simmered the sauce for twenty minutes on low heat.

Here's the porn:

After cooling down in the fridge I tried a teaspoon of it. It starts sweet and fruity with a little mustard twist. With a delay of about 10 seconds the heat jumps in and warms up tongue, palatine and throat. Now half an hour later I have a nice warm belly.

The heat is great but not overwhelming so I think about a follow-up maybe named Dillo's Tangerine Nightmare with the same basic recipe but Bhuts and sevens instead of Lemon drop and hab.
