Habman's 2007 Mexican Odyssey

I'm leaving for Mexico April 21 to May 6th.
I will be staying in the land of the Habanero : The YUCATAN.
I plan to stay a few days in Tulum, Playa Del Carmen , Valladolid and Merida.

For sure I will be hitting the markets in those towns looking and trying different peppers.
Any suggestions, interesting varieties to look for ?

I can't wait to buy some Orange Habs, last time I was there I swear the Orange habs smelled like cocoa beans not apricot like it's described.

In Merida I will try different Mole dishes.

Can't wait 2 more weeks and Adios....

Oh yeah! can't wait.
Where would I find a pepper plant in the wild ?
Under the jungle trees? near a lake or river?
If can spot a wild plant that would be the highlight of my trip.

pictures oh yeah!
peppers and topless women will be my prime target!

woot just got back from Merida.
I found some interesting speciments at the market.
One of them looks like a scorpion.

I saw a wild chiltepin growing near Chichen Itza. Coolest thing I ever saw :mouthonfire:

Monday I will taste them and prepare the seeds to bring back home Saturday....
