Beni Highland

I originally bought one plant from CCN in 2009. I planted it in the ground in a friend's garden and it stayed very small and produced about 8 pods. I dug it up last November and stuck it in a pot and put it in my windowsill. It started growing in February and I had about 10 ripe pods in May. I left it in its pot and kept it on my patio this year. Good citrus/fuity flavor and aroma, very prolific when happy. Heat seemed to range from mild to as hot as an orange habanero (from the same plant). Wasn't planning on continuing this variety for 2011, but as I write this it is back on my windowsill for the winter?

i've grown it for the last 3 or so years. one of my favorites. never had one with varying heat. always nice and consistent - not extremely hot but good heat. nice chile for salsa and also good in ceviche.
