Seems to be going downhill. My companions enjoyed their chicken sandwich and Italian beef. I had a gyro and the pita seemed stale and the meat not crisped enough. I thought the Italian beef was pale and the au jus on the side tasted like cinnamon water. The onion rings tasted a little better than frozen but not by much and the fries were limp.

The marinara for the mozzarella sticks were great. They heated it, nice touch and it had a kick to it. The bbq sauce was tasty, both sweet and spicy. No hot sauce was out. I believe for heat they have the sport peppers for hot dogs and giardinera for the Italian beef.

I use to love this place and hope that this was just a bad day.

I run a delivery route in Cook and Lake county, tried Hubs for lunch once and thought is was good but not noteworthy. Bella Lukes in Lake Zurich is kind of a haul from Hubs but its my favorite. Worth a try if you get out that way.
