DWC Log

Well here are a few pics of my DWC grow at the moment. The seeds were sown on 17-18 Aug 2010. They are doing better than any other plants I have going at the moment. The roots are going nuts in most of these buckets but some barely have any roots at all. There will be more pics to come tomorrow when my camera's batteries are charged.

This is the biggest of them all, it's a Bhut x Giant White Hab and it stands 16-17 inches tall. Comes courtesy of a VERY generous member down in Victoria.
These pictures don't do the amount of buds any justice bud he we go.
This is not the best shot but will get more tomorow.

I like this one, it was unintentional but i got almost all of the flowers in one shot.

Jeez I wish we had your climate down here. Mine are outside in a shade house and only tiddlers compared to yours. planted a month or two later as well though but still nothing like that. I suppose I will just have to be patient the hot weather will come and the growth will explode.
 
Cheers SG, that's the beauty of living in Nth QLD mate, warm all year round!! With a bit of luck I'll have some killer pods in about 90-100 days! Christ thats a long time!

Here are a couple more of the Bhut x Giant White Hab. By far the fastest growing plant I have and by the looks it's going to be a good producer too.

These are my 2 Brain Strain plants (thanks cappy!). They aren't growing as fast as I'd like them too but they are getting there.

YES they are 2 different plants you can see the colour differences ;)
 
This is my 7 Pot Burgundy, it has some MONSTER sized leaves on it!! A few of the other plants have big leaves as well but not quite this big.
Not sure what the white spots are but I'm not too concerned at this stage, we'll just see how they fair over the next month or so

This is my Fatali?? Fatalli?? Dunno how to spell that one properly lol gets me every time! This on would have to be the slowest grower at the moment.

Great pics! It is exciting to see you guys starting your season after ours is winding down. The chile pepper growing fun never stops. Thanks for sharing.
 
Cheers mate, I hope they keep up the growth rate so I can have some pods in about 2-3 months. Thats the biggest downer about growing chilli, they take sooooo long to mature pods. :snooty: :drooling:
 
Thanks CA, The northern Hemisphere season is the only thing that keeps me sane while I'm waiting for my season to really kick off. I can grow all year round here though things REALLY slow up in the cooler months. It still stays warm all year but the plants know the difference.
 
Those white dots remind me of the holes that baby catepillars chew in the leaves of my tomato plants. Look underneath, are they transparent through the leaf? These white butterfly moths lay them on the lowest leaves. You can spray them if they get out of hand but I find usually other bugs come along and eat them anyway.
 
The white spots actually look like sunscald to me. Looks like the leaves were wet during the hot part of the day with droplets acting like a magnifying glass as the intense sun shines through. I get it in the spring time when there are real quick showers then the sun comes back out.

There is a fair chance of that Jacob, it's wet season here now so the sun comes out between showers and it's quite intense when it does come out.
