NuMex Jalmundo - CPI

Anyone trying this variety from NMSU? What about this one: NuMex Vaquero?

If anyone gets them and has extra, let me know. I may do a seed trade for them. They have a minimum seed order of $14 and there's nothing else I want. Not worth it. I'm most interested in the Jalmundo strain.

I was going to by some of the Numex heritage seeds but the $14 dollar thing and the fact I have to call them for international orders is a PITA and they don't appear to have released the Numex heritage sandias yet(supposed to be released 2011) :(

Hey guys, I have CPI Vaquero and CPI Heritage Big Jim still in new packets if you want them. The H. Big Jim packet has 31 seeds and I would like to keep 10. The Vaquero packet looks to be at least 60-70 seeds and I just want to keep about 20 of them, I have been acquiring so many types that I know I won't have room to grow alot of them. The only kind I can think of I wish I had was Biker Billy Jalapenos. One of these days I need to make a list of what I have and disperse them.

I'm currently growing the CPI Jalamundo. It's currently flowering, no fruit set yet.

I'm sure I have some seeds still in the pack.

I have both the CPI Jalmundo and the Vaquero, but I won't be planting them until mid-January, If by that time you still nedd some seeds, let me know via email.

have friend who grew new NEW MEX SUNRISE nice mild hot and flavor yellow chile, looks just like an Anaheim but its yellow
i have a ton of seeds for it
ate some with eggs they where good, also put some in spaghetti sauce not bad
i still love the super hot though
thanks joe

I have Jalamundo seeds, as well as New Mexico Heritage 6-4s and Big Jims. I don't have Vaquero seeds, however.

I grew the NuMex Jalmundo last summer. It's a little different from your regular Jal Early or Jal M: quite thick-fleshed and sweet, heat level of around 2,000-3,000, excellent producer. I prefer the increased heat of Biker Billy, but since my family liked Jalmundo so much, I will grow both in 2011.

All my seeds went in the ground. Sorry.

Potawie, I know this is an old post, but pm me your address and I'll send you some heritage big jims and heritage 6-4s.
