Drink a little bit of milk, that might work.Dyce51 said:First time this has happened in a long time!! I ate too many habaneros today!! Burpin up fumes and got the worse heartburn I've had in years!!! Tried tums, rolaids...nothing is workin.... it really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dyce51 said:did that...it's better today! I just ate too many Habs yesturday...I was concocting a new sauce and got the bright ass idea to make Habanero Poppers. Turned out really good. I ate about 18 - 20 plus taste testing the evil mix on the stove and poppin a few raw habs...it all added up.

"when you eat beans, its not your breath you worry about"
Dyce51 said:When I make poppers I usually cut the stem off and use a small knife to cut the seeds loose inside the pepper. Then I pull the seeds out and rinse them off (so what if a few seeds remain) Then I use one of my wifes pastry (icing Bag) bags filled with my cheese filling. After the peppers are filled I dip them in a mixture of raw eggs and milk. After they get dipped I roll them in seasoned bread crumbs and repeat this a few times till they get a thick coating on them. Once they are all covered I pan fry them and they are done!!!! ready to be eaten!!
sometimes I will buy beer batter mix. Beer batter the peppers and deep fry them....also very tasty!!!
Pam said:Ok, that's pretty much what I do with the breading. I just keep hoping to find a less messy way to bread poppers that freezes well, too.
Have you ever tried the Tempura-type batter?
