They serve great stuff here. I wandered into this place one day, knowing nothing about it. I was pleasantly surprised to find the green chile burrito as their lunch special and ordered it. It wasn't quite the New Mexico green chile I was used to, but it wasn't bad. A soft, flour tortilla stuffed with large chunks of tender pork and cheese, smothered with chile verde. Served with rice and beans, this Thursday special is tasty and reasonably priced.

On a recent visit, I decided to change it up and ordered the burrito poblano, a flour tortilla stuffed with chicken and smothered with their mole sauce. The mole was complex and flavorful, and nicely complimented the chicken. Somewhat rich, and not something you would want to eat every day, but I really liked it.

I also love the fact they have red and green El Yucateco on the table, so can spice it up all you want.
 
The red and green El Yucateco are good, but the xxxtrahot is awesome. Best tasting hot sauce I've ever had...a lot of the Mexican places have it but they don't put it on the table, you have to ask for it.
 
The green El Yuc is usually hot enough for me. This place also has a spicy salsa you have to ask for, although they are getting to know me well enough that they usually just bring it now.
 
I don't think the xxxtrahot is very much hotter, it just has a great flavor. It's really smokey. I use the green Yucateco on eggs all the time, that stuff is pretty good.

What is that salsa like? I've been trying to figure out what's in the spicy salsa they bring out at a Mexican restaurant here. I think it has tomatillos, chile de arbol, and cilantro, not sure what else. I would like to learn how to make it because it has a great and unusual flavor.
 
I know it has tomatoes, tomatillos, cilantro, salt and onions, but I'm not sure what chile they are using. I know the salsa has a lot of seeds in it. Maybe I should grab one or two and sprout them ;-)
 
I'm pretty sure it's mainly dried chile de arbol, but I'm not sure if they add any others like guajillo. I've found recipes on the internet that are good, but not quite the same. I'm going to the giant Mexican market in Indianapolis tomorrow though, so I'll see if I can find something similar and check out the ingredients. Probably going to eat at the Mexican restaurant inside too, so maybe I'll ask them.

Worth a try on sprouting one of the seeds, probably won't germinate, but you never know. :D
