Maybe I should have "sagging" instead of warping. Over time, and intense heat, this happens.

Also, FYI, this picture reminds me, last year during grilling season, there were several stories of people getting sicker than shit, and it turned out it was that they ingested metal fibers from the grill brush. Just a heads up to be careful with that.

I always get my grill hot until they look ashy, then take the brush to them, at that point the grates are clean but just before I put the food on, I wipe them down with a paper towel soaked in veg oil (with tongs lol) it burns off immediately, but this makes a very clean grate and also the food doesn't stick as bad.

Those are special, expensive AF grates ...

And the EVOO move is Bridgette and Julia *EVERY* outside scene! #ATK ...

Well I guess I was wrong. I am beginning to question my claim.

My buddy has CI grates and he hates them. They look like they got sat on by Honey Booboo.

Probably cheap AF tho.

I def love/hate mine - but they'll never warp ... they weight like 25-35 lbs, I figure ...

I prefer chunky stainless ...

The bottom high-temp grate on the BGE, actually, is what I use on my chimney to sear SV food ...

It's like 9", but thick strong steel ... well beyond Weber's ...

Yeah, my stainless grill has 3 grates and each one is probably 10 lbs I am guessing. I LOVE them! So easy to clean and nice tight spacing so I can grill asparagus, bacon, and other thin foods, on a diagonal. Even heating goes without saying.

Today I get my SS Chimney and CI plate setter. Can't wait to try it out this weekend. My CI grate arrives next week so I will be using the stock SS grate for high temps like pizza and the CI for my burgers, steaks and other meats that I want to sear. The nice thing about the new CI grate is my old kamado grill had the same grate so I kept the attachment that fits in the hole, its a 16 inch warming grate that swivels.   :)

I gave my other vision kamado grill to my brother.
