Hello from Cleveland

Just joined yesterday. Lots of good info here. The whole chile scene in Cleveland just doen't exist. I bought 6 starter plants from the super mega garden center. They all seem to be doing well. I transplanted on memorial day. I'm growing in pots.
Growing Super Chile, Banana, Hungarian Hot wax, Jalapeno, Mex-Bell, and something labled "The worlds Hottest Pepper". Looks "habaneroish" in the photo.

Welcome!

I think the world's hottest is your basic orange hab.

Never been ther but I've heard of it. I'm in Bay Village. Heathers is on the east side. There is new store in Rocky River called Pizazz that sells that sort of stuff but I have'nt been there yet.

I think your so called worlds hottest pepper is a carribbean red hab.
I bought one of the plants last year & it came with a ID tag w/pic it was a "chef jeffs" brand/grower, it said the name on the back of the card. it was a tasty chile & hot, but it was a late if not on the verge of being a very late season grower.

& welcome to this site

There was a Pizazz on the edge of University Heights/Shaker Heights. It was a pizza place/bar though.....I wonder if this is the same place.

That's what the label reads. (Chef Jeff's)I did some internet digging and I came up with same info. Carib Red. The plant looks great and has aton of buds and about 10 flowers now. Mt top leaves have a little "wirnkling" to them but other than that it looks great.

Not sure. I'm going to check them out one night this week. I'll post back.
