how do you to delete items from ny content

hi all, im not a computer savvy person, can anyone tell me how you can delete items from the my content tab. when i click on my profile in the top right corner a bunch of drop downs come on. one of them is my content. it there a way to erase some of the items that come on. im trying to say hello to all new members. but i dont want to always see that every time i click on my content, i just want to keep track of the growing and questions that i post to. thank you for the help.
 
Look down a little bit, under the search bar, and you'll see View New Content.
 
Correct. You can also set up you subscriptions so you are notified of replies in topics you posted in.

My Settings > Notification Options > Watch every topic I reply to
