My Naga's, Habanero's, Carribean Red's are all small

Help! My Naga's, Habanero's, Carribean Red's are all small

:) on the other hand my wife El Jefe's, Serono Del Sol and Jalapeno's are growing like weeds and producing fruit. Is this normal? Hopfully my plants will get big enough to produce some fruit this year........The Naga's, Carribean Red and Habanero's are all about 15 centimeters tall mostly healthy some yellowing (we had too much rain) but otherwise healthy just small.
 
What fertilizer are you giving them? What soil are they in? My nagas were growing sorta slow so I switched fertlizer, and they turned a nice green. Then switched again and now I am worried about finding places big enough for them!
 
We are using soil especially for tomato plants and also tomato fertilizer slow release sticks. As suggested by Pepperworld where we got our seeds from. Its the same earth and fertilizer as we are using for our Jalapeno, El Jefe plants and they are doing fantastic.
 
Remember that most Habs are late season, so they will grow a little slower than the jalapeños and the like.

Using a local nurseries fertilizer that is supposed to promote flowering. Bloom something or other with trace minerals. Has x-54-x, I can literally measure growth every day it seems. Using it on 15 different naga plants and they all like it. Tried it on some young mini habs and they seem to be liking it.
 
Light has the most to do with it, are they in more shade?
Also my Hab plant is short but has tons of long branches and foliage. Height isn't everything!
Also, seeds are like people, some grow fast and healthy, some are predisposed to be slower. I have 2 super Shepherd plants from the same nursery that were the same height when I bought them. The one that is getting a little more sun is 2 ft tall, it's brother is almost 4' tall. It was just a better seed.
I would take them off of the fertilizer and let them detox for a couple of weeks, also let them dry out if you can. It is OK if they wilt a little for lack of water from time to time. If they are getting plenty of sun, then there is something else that they don't like.

As to fertilizer, I use a 50-50 mix of organic blood meal and bone meal. I fertilize with a couple teaspoons right on the soils surface about every 3 weeks, and man does it make em grow. My Carribean reds have taken OFF>peppers are everywhere, and will be ripening soon enough.

Slinter is it Shultz Bloom Plus 10-54-10? I was using a high Nitrogen fert when i first put my plants out and was picking off the blooms but when i left the blooms alone I started to use the Shultz's 10-54-10 and since this is my first year growing peppers I do not know if it is normal for the plants to have so many pods on them but almost all of my plants have more pods than i can count

Yes, no doubt they are super hot. I was sent 4-5 fresh ones by a friend two weeks ago. I was amazed at how potent they are, BUT a nice scent when sliced open. You need to have a stomach of steel to eat whole. :hell:

Maybe you can swap some of your hot sauce for some fresh pods.

No its not shultz. It is similar in npk though. Something like 10-54-5 or somewhere around there. I would check but my computer died and the container isnt here. I dont see any problem with lots of pods. Especially if they taste good :hell:
Im trying it just for the fact of getting more peppers.

Also Jim, Naga's are also known as Bhut or Bih Jolokia in their original language, Naga is short for Naga Norwich or Dorset Naga. No matter the name it is still the same pepper and yes it's the hottest in the world (twice as hot as Red Savina Habanero's). It is rated at 1,000,000 SHU while comparibly the former record holder (Red Savina) rates at 500,000 SHU.
