WTF too much money, what do you think

i am not,i saw it and thougt i would just point it out.i just didnt know if it was being over priced or not thats all.i think u took what i meant out of context in the title?

There is a store here locally that has a few bottles of that on the shelf and they are around $350, so the price they are asking plus $65 shipping is ridiculous.

I have seen others sell for $600,but even thats pretty pricey.if it's just because its the #999 bottle,I still don't see the extra value.I think the guys nuts IMO.thats just the starting bid?

Cost is relative to your net worth. If you're fabulously wealthy and wish to spend $3500 on a bottle of sauce, then knock yourself out. If the cost represents your life savings, then I'd have to say you have a real problem if you buy that. You could always take a road trip and shoplift it...

Not at all, you think it's too much money, someone else may not. That's why they call it a collector bottle. I would like to own a mint Honus Wagner card, or even an astronaut suit from the original moon landing, but I know I can't afford it. It doesn;t bother me in the least. It's also not crazy if someone pays the price for it, they can afford it, so be it. Hell, just a few years ago a pre-AM bottle of Blairs went for over $10,000. Is it crazy? Perhaps, but not to someone who bought it. There's nothing out of context, you just seem very upset that someone is asking a lot of a special Blairs bottle (the last bottle, and the last bottle in the entire AM line). Certain bottles of Blairs stuff go for exorbitant amounts of money. You have chosen to collect this line of bottles recently, I guarantee you this won't be the last time you see his stuff go for a high asking price.

For instance, our original Batch bottles from 2005 went for $25. Less than a year ago, one of them went for close to $1000 in a private auction. Did I think it crazy, no, the person who bought it is happy. Isn't that what it's all about?

It is a very diverse market.and I wasn't upset as I was more surprised. Its not to often i see his stuff go for that amount.i do remember 2 others bottles that went over 1g.one of them being a 09 halloween.I am not going to snatch up every reserve I see.that would be silly.one every once in a while is more senceable.and I agree with u on some points u made.I read about the pre-am in a article somewhere.I tip my hat to the new owner.finding that one bottle your looking for is only half the hunt I guess.I can be a bit of a tightwad thought so I don't spend much of anything. I get were your coming from though.

Also note it's for sale, not sold. Sold prices set the market, not selling prices.

Add to that it's a signed collectible. People pay what they want.
