Hot, hot, hot in Brooklyn.

 Hi all, greetings from New York. It's summer and it's beautiful out...well, at least for the next two weeks. I found this forum by accident but I'm sure glad I did. Just put up my latest batch of home-made Habanero sauce (2 quarts worth). Although I don't think this batch will last as long as the last batch (made 2 quarts of sauce with some beautiful Red Habaneros). That batch lasted for a good 5 years. I love it in my BBQ sauce when I do ribs. I'll be looking forward to all your spicy recipes...I'll share a few of my own. Talk at ya l8r.

Hey! I love nothing so much as fresh powdered peppers. I especially like smoked jalapeno or habanero powder. Paprika isn't spicy, but it adds so much to bbq rubs, tacos, etc., and fresh paprika powder home grown adds an amazing amount of flavor. That is what I am into right now.
I dry the peppers in a dehydrator and grind them up in a designated coffee mill.

Greetings from Defcon HQ. You should join us at Duff's in Brooklyn this weekend on Saturday, we're doing a wingding blowout. It starts about 9pm-until dawn.
