non hot tepins

My only guess is that they are not tepins....teping are picante when the fruit is green or red.

Do you have a picture of the fruit and plant?
 
Yes,picture would be helpful....I had a penomenon last fall,after some cold nights all my jalapenos went red,but they were zero hot.I think it was an "emergency riping".Because the pods I harvested earlier the year were ok.
