Newbie

Nice site...been lurking for a while.

I love hot peppers and among my friends I am the one that always eats the hottest of the hot (still not to the level of most of you guys! Spiciest Thai food, hottest hot wings and the like for me).

That said the other day I was watching some channel on my pops Dish Network HDTV (can't remember the channel one of the obscure HD channels that they have) and there was a show on hot peppers. The show was interviewing a group in a bar that was sampling the hottest sauces made, kinda like a club or something.

Then along came the Naga...I had always thought that the habenero was the hottest of the hot, until I heard about that evil little beauty, evil looking little bastard.

So I got the bug...had to get some...got on the net ordered some seeds and pods, which are on their way.

On a parallel note I have been looking at setting up a relatively small indoor tomato farm (love tomatos as well). So today...peppers on the way, tomato farm in mind, I went to a local hydroponic farm store. Wow, let's just say that I had fresh habeneros with my dinner tonight, two of them.

I had previously found several threads were hydroponic peppers were not recommended so I was very skeptical. I wish you guys could see this place, they have a whole section where they are growing tomatos, peppers and herbs just for demo purposes. And their habenero plants were some of the best looking I have seen...not to mention the tomatos, holy crap they were awesome.

Until I saw it I didn't realize how well these huge tomato and pepper plants could do in a full hydro setup.

I'll try to get back up there and take some pics to post. Also be aware...naga seeds in route from nagaseeds.org, hydro setup on my mind...muhahahaha

Welcome!! Can't wait to see the pics, hydro interests me to no end, but way to spendy for me to set up here at home.

I'll get up there and take some pics...the guys there have been there a long time, family company and such.

From just a little research I can tell you it's no joke (just ate a couple more tomatos, fukin delicious).

I'm determined now, so I'll post pics once I get ANYTHING nice. I'd like to grow tomato, pepper and strawberry. So we'll see how that turns out.

Judging by the color of my grass...I probably won't get grap!

Welcome!

There are some guys here who use hydro to grow peppers, and they can offer some really good advice.

Cool, I'll be needing it soon (hopefully I can talk the spouse into letting me buy the setup).

I don't know what you read about hydro and chiles, but I've grown chiles in hydro for years very successfully. This was grown in hydro:
