hot-sauce looking for made in FL sauces, products

hi,

i'm looking to compile a list of florida hot sauce/product manufacturers - i've googled around a bit and so far i have:

bull's chips (datil pepper potato chips)
kato's
pepper's of key west
florida gold premium
gator hammock
tahiti's
datil do it
tom savage
bill wharton liquid datil
minorcan datil products
datil dew
dixie datil

any one who can add other quality FL made products, i'd be grateful. (yeah, i'm from FL and i like datils ;) )

nothing against other regions

it's all good, as they say, but i live in FL and i want to amass a collection of made in FL sauces.

maybe some day i'll open a "made in FL" store or something, i dunno....

Ah... ok.

Good enough reason, I suppose.

I could compile a list of Quebec manufacturers... and I'd have us on the list. lol. I'm soooooo in the wrong country when it comes to business.

but you're in the right country when it comes to beer!

we went to an F1 race in montreal several years ago, the munidial beer festival thing just happened to coincide, they held it down at the wharf area that year - man, it was hotter that day than here in FL!

loved the beer selection of montreal! not to mention i got fun pics of me flanked by giant walking beer mascots. ;)

we even went to the museum of beer, but i think it may have closed.

Ya know, I've lived eith.er in or within spitting distance of Montreal since 1982 and I had no idea there was a beer museum. I gather it's owned and or run by Molson, but it's definitely worth checking out!

A beer museum... who'da thunk it.

i don't think the beer museum is open anymore....i think it wasn't really a museum per say, that was their gimmick, it was basically a little brewpub/restaurant - but they DID have tons of beer regalia - glasses, shirts, stuff hanging everywhere -- and coasters, and all kinds of beer too!!! the bartender that day was nice enough to give us lots of coasters to take home as souveniers.

and it wasn't affiliated with molson. let me see if i can find an old link or article.....no, their link didn't work and i'm pretty sure they closed. it was on stanley. is that near the college? i remember it being sort of near the college...from what i can remember :D

and just so y'all can see there IS other beer in canada besides molson, behold:

That's Canada.

My personal favorite is Sleeman's Clear. Nice clean lager, low in calories and carbs... Great for anyone on a low carb or low-cal diet.

thanks!

thank you, i'll look up the websites for these and add them to my bookmarks!

i'm REALLY looking forward to trying that smoked datil sauce!

kato, do you know of any chile pepper events in FL? I knew there used to be one in St Pete (florida fiery foods) but can't find any current info about it online.

i don't know a thing about organizing events but i wish someone who did would organize one!! seems to me like there are plenty of chile and chili heads in FL to make it worthwhile.

a combo BEER/PEPPER fest would work nicely, thank you very much....:D

Datil Paddle,

The I Like it Hot Festival is coming up in September 17th & 18th( over in Largo Fl.(the Tampa Area) a great event that we have attended in the past with loads of Florida companies & they have beer.
This year we'll be unable to attend as we have had a delay in the selling of our home in FT.Lauderdale due to hurricane Katrina hopefully everything goes through before another storm comes
