Taco Tuesday's!

My friends and I have taco tuesdays. The batch changes from week to week but right now we are at about 50% peppers to 50% meat ratio.

Generally though the peppers are Ghost, Habanero, and serrano. As I have to grow my ghost peppers as I cant find fresh ones around here they are seasonal. I'm just starting to grow butch t's so when they are all grows ups then they will be thrown in the mix.

Anyways, we have to make two batches as nobody will eat my meat and that makes me sad.
 
Nah, it really isnt that bad anymore. Kinda sucks as I got it to the point that I really did get high off of them for a few hours and now nada
 
Ok so this was an absolute tasty one this week. me love me tacos! Heres the starting ingredients


All choppy
Add water and some other spices and boil down, yup we be lazy!
Didnt really hold the color but they be in there
Add favorite toppings
And enjoy


I dont know if it was the onion or the bell pepper or both but it had this amazing sweet and tangy taste to it this week. Too bad mah ghost peppers arent peppering right now, please warm up weather!

BTW, is butch t's really that much more potent? If you read the wiki page on them they basically say wear a hazmat suit!
 
thanks for reading and all. fresh non store bought tortillas make a hudge difference. i stand by that store bought is crap be whatever it is. fresh grown peppers, better flavor. fresh made tortillas, better tasting. thats the only thing this week thanks!!
 
Maybe i will join you next week. I haven't made tacos for a while. And maybe I can get Texas Blues to make some of his famous fish tacos next Tuesday too. Then this thread will really take off. I'll work on it.
 
Boom!! I'm in the pool!!!

Nothin' fancy. Trust me, I dig fancy tacos too. In fact, I encourage them!
But with 2 little ones at home, and the Mrs. and I both working full time, sometimes you gotta make it the easy way.

And the youngens love tacos!

Kept it SO SIMPLE, and they were great.
Browned ground beef with store name taco seasoning.
Cooked pre-made shells in the oven to crisp them up.
Pre-shredded cheddar cheese.
Pre-made guacamole (wholly guacamole!!)...btw, we bought 2 fresh avocados, but they are never ripe the day you get them
Canned Ranchero sauce from "Mexico" (not racist)
Store Brand sour cream
Fresh diced tomatoes
Cheap plastic plates.

This was the "typical" Taco Tuesday that we all remember.
Some things are just perfect the way you always remember them.
Aint nothin wrong with doin it the old fashioned way!
Good thing I didn't have to boil water!

mmmmmmmm I love crunchy tacos. I don't know why I never make them.
I love the store brand taco. It is nostalgic, easy, and awesome.
