If you like szechuan food you'll enjoy Sichuan House. Situated on Corrs Lane in Chinatown, they make authentic szechuan and are not a westernized "Chinese" restaurant. We ordered 12 different meals and I tried every one of them, all of them tasted fantastic. With varying heat levels you can take non chilli eaters, although their options will be limited. They have heat ratings on the menu from zero to 3 chillies. If you ever go you MUST try the cumin pork ribs, they are absolutely amazing and definitely my favourite of all the meals I tried.

if you are in to hot foods from that region, there is also a really good steam boat place at the top end of elizabeth street near the market, opposite the autobarn store.  cant remember the name if it.
