Im going to end up putting this plant in the sun the soil has gnats in it or some kind of flying creature the other pot does too. so both these pots are sticking outside ;( but not to worry there not my good peppers plus one of them is eh kind of big enough to go out in the sun. at least in the shaded parts.

Ill be germinating my main plants soon.

Cool, fantastic list of stuff and it is GREAT to grow a test plant.

I can see now why the interest in gnats in the other thread. Looking at that plant, I think I would take a chance and repot it in clean new growing medium. I'd say throw away your mix if you think that is the source, but Kelloggs is usually a good product. Your call.

This will be extreme, but I'd completely wash down the plant, roots and all, before re-potting. You can trim the roots into a ball and then carefully place in a new container, trying to keep roots as straight as possible. Fill in the new soil around the root ball. Gently water it in. When soil is saturated, gently pull up on the plant to orient the roots nicely.

As I mentioned on the other thread, I sprayed my plants with a Neem oil solution prior to re-potting.

If gnats are a real concern, you might consider a treatment like this: scroll down to my post and pix using the diatamecous earth.

Oh it was a diffrent soil thank god I think im going to love kellog :) Thanks for the advice ill definatly use it.

Oh one question should I space my plants so they dont pollinate each other and create new strains or w.e *doesnt know much about this btw*.

They won't cross-pollinate the first year, no matter how close to each other. But if you wanna save seeds and they were really close together, you might get some crosses next year.

Some people just roll with it, keep seeds from their best pods and they grow fine. Some go to great lengths to isolate each plant to keep it pure. To each his own....

How would you know your best pods btw? It would seem like allot of trouble to isolate them though.

Well I started germinating :)

seed starting jiffy-mix it smelled great and looks awesome it holds water pretty dang good too not sure though on how much it dries out but ill find out also I hade to freaking soak the cups because it keep sucking up the water like it was nothing lol odd mix indeed.

Oh wrightdaddy I got some perlite, vermiculite, some blood meal and bone meal. I probably shoulda skiped the blood meal. I skiped the peat because I don't want my soil too acidic I know you can use lime or something it was called. but eh lol. + I have some stuff for the root system anyway. that dave garden guys pellet fert. also I think the kellog has peat in it anyway.

I put some plastic over the germination box hopefully that's the right thing to do.
also another reason i put plastic over was because of gnats being in the pots that i showed you guys, I ended up moving them too outside where its fine temps right now. Ill probably end up spraying them and hoping it kills all gnats.

I think the reason why i got gnats in those pots is doing something dumb and putting chopped leaves in the pots, not thinking that there might be pest in the leaves sure enough gnats spawned from hell.

Good idea. Your on your way you'll have some new babys in no time.
Thanks wonder if its possible to get sprouts in 3 days lol.

Its getting pretty dang steamy inside hope all is well i don't want any mold growing well not that i know much about mold i do know some organisms are great for soil and help the plant but i need to do more research about this. after all books and the internet are for our knowledge what we can read in an hour and understand in a week or a month took scientist decades.

 good job. i can feel the heat rising in az.
yeah it actually is rising though lol and thanks so much I cant wait till i see my other peppers sprout.
and they seem a little small for sprouts but eh I guess they need light I was sleeping for a long day today after all its my day off :D.

Nice rig, fathual. The little babies are poking up nicely!
Looking forward to your success story!
