What temp to give up hope?

What is the final sign (as in "it will be a low of 32 tonight") do you wait for to bring in plants and harvest unripe pods from the ones left out?

It depends how long it will be that cold. If it's just for an hour or so before the sun comes up, you should be ok. Just get them in the sun as soon as possible in the morning.

If it's going to be most of the night, bring 'em in.

Rule of thumb, mostly. Like I said, it depends on how long it's going to be cold. If it's going to be no warmer than 40F for six days....I'd bring them in.

Just check on them, they'll let you know if they're still happy or not.

I would throw a cover over'em so the frost wont bite if temps are above that usually .... Im in the same boat I have Piquins and Siams ripening like there is no tomorrow I dont want to lose the plants Id like to overwinter the healthier ones
