Basics?

I have made all the salsa I'm going to make this year. My tomato plants are slowing down, but today, 22OCT07, my pepper plants are still going nuts so I'm thinking of trying to make my first hot sauce.
I've looked at the topics here, but haven't found just a very simple, very basic introductory level hot sauce recipe.

Here's what I'm looking for:
tomato based is fine, I still have enough to get creative with.
vinegar based is fine.

I don't want a recipe that calls for fruit like mango or anything.

What I have growing in my garden and/or sealed away in foodsaver bags in my freezer:
Habanero
Thai dragon
Tabasco
Jalapeno (most of them are still green and more vegetal/grassy in taste rather than the nice red ones that get that almost fruity undertones)

Any suggestions?
I'm just looking for something very simple to make to get my feet wet with making hot sauces, I can get creative with next years crop.

Thanks in advance for any help.
