Something is Eating Holes in My Leaves...WTF???

Like the title says...I have very tidy holes in some of my leaves...researching off-site, it looks like the 2 main culprits may be slugs, or flea beetles. Researching here on THP, I haven't found anything. This is only happeneing to my pepper plants (for now), and not all of them.

Not sure what is doing this here in north central Texas...and I need a chem-free, organic solution!

put out a bowl with beer in it(called a beer trap) look it up to make sure i am right, and set it next to yout plant and the slug should fall in and die!! my bro had an issue with the munching his weed plants! those bastages! best of luck to ya!

I'm not convinced it's slugs,though...never EVER seen one here in 7 yrs. I'll probably try the beer trap (you were correct, and I've researched it online) around a few plants to see if I get any slugs. If so...then that is likely the problem.

But...I'm thinking I might have a beetle problem.

i was thinking to test for slugs as they are the easiest to check with the beer trap. and if no luck well then think of how to kill them beetles@

Flea beetles leave lots of small pinhead-size holes. I've never seen em on peppers though they love the eggplants growing right next to the peppers.

I sure looks like flea beetles, slugs would not eat pin size holes, they would almost eat the leaf. Apply some Sevin dust around the plant and that should take care of them. If your organic grower, I am sure spraying some type of Pyrethium would work..Usually flea beetles will not do much damage, unless there's a heavy infestion. The damage is cosmetic. Their life span is short.

Agree, ive got the same thing & slugs leave a trail that you can see (silver/shiny shit)

Ive got these piss ant little holes appearing everywhere & its not slugs, snails or that kinda stuff.

Mezo.

There are a ton of holes the size of a pencil, and some are much larger.

I'll set a beer trap today, and mist a heavily dilluted mixture of soapy water ont he leaves.

It's also worth noting there is an (untouched) eggplant right next to the most heavily damaged chiles, which are my Red Savinas.

I would also guess slugs, but I've had beetles do similar damage before. The lack of a slime trail doesn't necessarily mean anything. Rarely do I actually see any obvious signs of slugs, but if I check under pots and leaves there they are hiding during the day.

Well "lunchbox" they may just be coming to the lunchbox for lunch. Doesn't look like what I have seen on my plants from slugs in the past. I would go with flea beetles.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

A little late night trip to place beer traps for slugs...and looky here...

Hello...my name is LunchBox. You dine on my plants. Prepare to die.

Cutworms? Armyworms? I utilized an organic method known as spadal bisection. I popped them off, and cut the bastards in half with a spade. Now...on to look for passive methods.

LOL... good work LB...

i found some caterpillar chewing on my moro blood orange tree... i did all kinds of stuff for slugs, but man, nothing worked... i sprayed with bayer pesticide... after moving a couple to a neighbor's tree... i don't want to kill them all.. HA...

Interesting, i just took a pic of my plants with holes.

And the only thing i can see hanging around (and its always there) is this little thing, don't know what it is or if its a good thing or a bad thing?
