Hey guys, sorry if this has been covered, but I can't find it.
Has anyone thought about recycling water from a fish tank to water the peppers or even seedlings ready for a little fertilizer? I've got a twenty gallon fish tank that I change out about half of the water every two weeks. It's a lot of water being poured down the drain. The ugly chemicals assoc with tap water have been dealt with to make it safe for the fish. Nitrites and ammonia are dealt with by the bacterial flora intrinsic to a fishy micro-ecosystem. Not to mention, the water is full of organics from the critters swimming around in there. My fish are about due for a water change, but I'm afraid to try it until I know it's not toxic to the plants and more importantly to the people who eat the pods.
If anybody has any ideas or information about this, I'd be very grateful.
