seeds Would I be Able to Plant De-Hydrated Seeds?

I'd like to grow a ghost pepper plant, but the only seeds I got came from a dehydrated ghost pepper. Will I be able to grow these?

There's only one way to find out.... ;)

Seeds that have gone through a dehydrator can be rendered inviable but a fair whack of the time, they are still OK.

The answer to your first question is ...yes, you will be able to plant the dehydrated seeds.

Will They Grow? dunno~~~

Gasi pretty much nailed it. Only way to find out is to plant the seeds.

Heat destroys the viability of the seeds. Pods that are dried at high temps will kill the seed viability. With pods that are dried at a lower temp, a lot of the seeds will remain viable.

you said it first, dude. :)

The way I look at it, is you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain...
worth a shot.

Plus I don't think you can complain too much, she did after all answer your question precisely. Who can ask for more? ;)

It depends on the temp they were dried at. Generally the heat kills them, but I always dry at lower setting and seeds remain good
