Electric to propane or charcoal conversion

Just found an electric char broil smoker on the side of the road... What should I convert it to and why? Going to be using it solely for peppers and wild game. Suggestions please!
 
I would leave it on the side of the road. Those char broil "smokers" are so poorly made and the metal is so thin your going to have more problems with it even if you do get it working with coals. If your looking for a "cheap" or free smoker try making a UDS out of an old drum. It will work a lot better and be a lot easier to get going in the long run.
