Huh??? I thought we were done with June!!!!! You mean it's still going on????
 
Now that we've all gotten comfy with a month worth of burgers, how about something back outside of our comfort zone?
 
Anyone down for best food photography?

Cook anything! Best pic wins! We never taste these so it's really a pic/ingredients contest already... so what about just the pic this time. Go all artsy fartsy, depth of field, soft focus... just an idea. Capture the moment. Can even be on the cooking, a sizzling steak, flames.

I understand those with camera phones are going to say no but there's always some that will say no to all of these.
 
im not sure?? but i really dont care..

im thinking candy snack sweet kinda thing. that would be cool? and im not big on the sweets but it would be cool. i hear people talking how hard it is to bake bread or this and that . but making a good hard candy or fudge takes know how!

or how about a same 10 ingridents"spelling im sure" kida thang?

In theory then, the person with the best camera skills and best camera could win by taking a pic of a can of beans spilled on the counter top.

You'd also have to take into account those that would use photoshop.

also if we do best pic ,,then every month should be just best pic? i think we should fo sure atleast keep a theme on it?

,,,the pic is important ive seen several times where i think a pic won over quality ..... but i really dont care and thats all i have to say about this just let me know what to cook or take a picture of
 
You do care! You keep posting so you care! :)

We had 3 challenges in June, if it's photog in July it takes some pressure off of what to cook and lets the photogs show their stuff. Kind of relaxed.

Still do PoL w/subject matter, and teasers... just basic shots of what you are cooking etc. not artsy... and then two of your best pics of the same subject all purdy. JUST AN IDEA!
 
I know there are people here that have actual photography schoolin, and I ain't one of them.

I'm down with the challenge tho, it sounds like fun and a different angle on the TD.
I'll rub vaseline on the lense and go for the "70's Porn look"
 
what about best action grill shot for 4th of july/4th weekend(still judged on the food being cooked of course; one action shot, one as a presentation picture).

sort of like a who's got skill on the grill TD
