dunedin brewery

went to their brewpub last night with a couple friends and had a great time. they have a limited menu, but the food was good and really hit the spot.

they serve your standard brewpub food, wings, burgers, tacos, etc. i had a bacon cheeseburger and brought some of my own hot sauce to pour on top. the sauce is from a local brand called pepperheads..the guy gave me this tiny bottle that contains about 3 tsp. of sauce, so it's great for carrying in your pocket when you go out. anyway, they did have a couple hot sauces there that weren't your average hot sauce compared to most restaurants. they had sweatin' bullets, and weapon of mouth destruction. the latter was not hot at all..tasted good though.

wednesday is open mic night and there were a lot of people preforming..mainly singing, playing guitar, and sometimes there were bassists, harmonicas, and drums.

as far as the main reason you'd be at this place.. the beer! they have a good amount of beer on tap. probably 8 or so regular beers of theirs on tap, a seasonal or two that they make, then a few other beers from other companies. i had a nitro stout (irish dry style), their IPA, their chrismas ale (belgian style ale brewed with fruit..i think cherries. reminded me of a lambic somewhat, just not as robust) ..from other companies, i had a glass of avery the czar imperial stout, rogue glen, and i think that was it. they were out of celebration ale from sierra nevada. :(
