Is this the Pretty Purple Pepper?

Hello. New guy, I'm Dave.

I ordered a some Naga Jolokia seeds some time ago. Out of 25 seeds, only 3 germinated, and they all look like what's in the pic. As you can see, it is certainly NOT ghost pepper plants!

Based on what I've seen online, my best guess is the Pretty Purple Pepper. Not quite what I was hoping or paid for, but can someone confirm or tell me what else it is, and most importantly, how much heat to these have?

Thanks!

Ok well it seems that I can't figure out how to post a pic on this forum, so some help with too would be great! But here is a link for now...

Using Flickr (since they use a format that lets you select various sizes ) you need to go to the picture and select a size (ie. large) then right click on that image and select copy image location -- then come to your post and select the add image icon on the toolbar (looks like a photo between link and quite) then Paste the link into the popup that comes up and the pic appears in your post.

Thanks all for the help with pics! Yes, it is a pretty plant. On another quest for ID, with the help of a friend, we are pretty sure it's a Bolivian Rainbow. Which makes sense, because the guy I bought the seeds from also sells Bolivian Rainbow.

Ok so a buddy of mine and I tried one of the peppers the other day. Certainly not ripe yet, but we were curious to see of they are hot or not. The taste was awful, but these little purple guys pack significant heat! Definitely hotter than a Jalapeno!

significant heat? hah.. wait till they ripen! Usually from my experience it's a night and day difference for heat levels.
I gotta say, that is one cool looking plant.

It could have been an honest mistake by the company. When deseeding, the seeds can stick to the knife, cutting board, hands, clothing...... The safe and secure method would be to only do 1 variety at a time. Clean tools and deseeding area, discarding any "not sure abouts" before starting a different variety.

Since only 3 seeds germinated........ the Bolivaian Rainbows you could probably throw over your shoulder and out the window and they'll sprout. My guess is that the others could be the real deal and either old or you could have had a problem with the germination process. Its not to tricky to get the seeds up and running you just have to be consistant with the temperature and moisture

It doesn't look at all like my pretty purples. It is much taller and pretty purple is an ornamental. Fruits go from purple to red and you have more colors than that. your leaves are too big too. Nice looking plant.
