Habanero Caesar Dressing

IMHO a well made Caesar Salad is the best hangover cure. It is also my opinion that this recipe is the shortest ever, but it's so tasty I thought it worth sharing. The Caesar is after all a Mexican dish...it was begging for Habs ;)

Ingredients:
1 x 300 ml {10 oz) bottle of creamy Caesar Dressing.

2 {or more} x fresh Orange Habs

Method:

Cut the stems off the Habs and dice | put Dressing & Habs into the blender & blast it.

Yup well thats it

**will not last more than a few days even in the fridge so make it just before you use it**

A good Caesar salad will have Cos or Romaine Lettuce, bacon, croutons (diced toast), parmesan cheese, optional anchovies. I like to add halved cherry toms & diced feta cheese.

~Enjoy

You can up the chilli but I still wanted to taste the salad lol. The flavor of the Caesar really match well with that 'apricot' taste of a fresh hab. It made me sweat, had heat but didn't burn at all. A nice side dish.

**Edit - you could be right Omri...my Orange Habs are killers this season**

Why do you feed them? :O
Probably the 300,000SHU ones. :O

Hot Caesar dressing will make me eat more veggies.

Awesome idea. I was just thinking a couple of days ago that the world is ready for a complete line of hot dressings. Habanero vinaigrettes and jalapeno ranches, for example (flavor-wise, would be a good combination). As I am in school, I'll leave the creating to those of you with the time.

Of course, with the current thread, I'll rethink that and make my own rather than waiting for product to hit the shelves.

Great idea.

I made this last night and it was really good. Not too hot, just enough to let you know it was there. I used my immersion blender so the habs were completely broken up to the point that you had to really look for the orange specs. Really good idea though. Thanks for the idea.

This is a new frontier for me. I have been eating hot sauce and such forever but never thought of the salad dressing before. Now that I have tried it my imagination is running wild. Next I can see a habanero or Thai French dressing, maybe a serrano/jalapeno vinegrette.
