"Ghosts 'n Stuff" Halloween Hot Sauce

Mark this as an experiment gone right! I got the idea in the spring and planted my garden accordingly. Ghost peppers, pumpkin habaneros, and pumpkins. My pumpkin plants died, so I had to go with canned, but the result is quite good...

Tastes a lot like a bite of pumpkin pie, then some pretty extreme heat hits. Interesting on chips and crackers, great on chicken nuggets. Can't wait to eat it on lots of things!!!

would you happen to have a ingredient list with amounts i would like to try and make this sauce sounds interesting

Well, what you see in the pics is what I used, plus a little water. I didn't really measure anything :(

I didn't use all the peppers shown either, probably about 3/4 of them. Was pretty heavy on the brown sugar. I added spices until it started to smell like pumpkin pie. Sorry it's so sketchy.

Kool, I'm not the only one making a Pumpkin Hot Sauce and we're using different methods too. Mine will be in the fermenter till just about Thankgiving then I'll process the sauce. Looks like your's came out pretty thick. Give it a good week without tasting it and then try it again and see how it is. I'll be interest to see if the heat levels change any.

Looks good,
RM
