Plantain beer

Just finished up a Plantain Weizenbock

8.2% ABV

30 pounds of sweet plantains boiled in the last 10 minutes of the boil

dont know what I am gonna call it yet, but it goes on draft once the oak aged imperial stout runs out, which should be in a week or so

any thoughts?

Hum, I've given this a bit of thought wheebz and it always seemed to come around to this. The Plantain is often seen in Carrabin dishes and having just read about the Bounty going down lead me to thinking about being ship wrecked. So, if I were ship wrecked on an Island in the Carrabin there would most likely be Plantains to exist on so I say call it:

Ship Wrecked

and of course if you have too many of them your going to feel like you've been........

30 lbs? good god.
what is that for like... 15 gallons?

wheebz is the Brew Master at Darwuns on 4th in Sarasota so it's more like 15 Barrels but I'm not sure what his capacity is.

Edit: if memory serves me right a Barrel is something like 41 gallons or 448 12oz bottles. But I could be off.
