Hello from North Dakota

Hi, first post here. I'm a life long hot sauce enthusiast. My friends know me as "that spicy food guy" because I order jalapenos on everything, sides of hot sauce, whatever you can get in a restaurant or setting to make it hotter I'm doing it. I joined here to share and compare recipes, and to find out about different sauces to try. I'm on a journey to find the perfect hot sauce, and in the past year I've started making my own. My first involved serrano, smoked jalapeno, roasted garlic, red fresno, roasted red pepper, some habanero, and apple cider vinegar. it was awesome but the apple flavor was a little too "up front" for my tastes. the next batch i used a lot of habanero, carrots, garlic, and pineapple. somehow the consistency got really thick so i put it in a squeeze bottle and used it like "normal people" use ketchup. I really liked that sauce - it was definitely the kind to creep up on you, like there's a party in my mouth and all the fire exits are blocked.

Other interests: motorcycles, guitar, video games...that's about it.

:welcome: from sunny South Florida! :woohoo:
