P.Dreadie 2013

This a bit early for me to start a log , not much to say or show. But the weather is less than I'd like to see. I know I'm a whiner ... somewhere a pepperhead is looking at feet of snow and not just a few inches like me ... But I'm dreaming about better times .. pods pon de plants .. herbs for da pot ... tomatoes & greens for a salad.

Here's a few shot of things that have sprouted. A mixed batch of things. There should be more soon. This time I tried something a little different . I used those small 3oz bathroom solo cups to start my seeds in. The idea was to save space and soil as they germinated. Some always fail. I've always used 8 oz stryo cups but these look fine for where they are. Soon I'll up sizing they cups.

You may notice that even tho I used tiny cups to start with I didn't make them full of soil. I've always liked to be able to add a little soil more soil as they got leggy at first. Then transplant them.

So this where I'm at now ...watching seedlings grow .. waiting for spring when my plants are larger and what plants I've ordered to show up.

Peace,
P.Dreadie

Photos of mixed peppers starts ..Nothing fancy & there's still many more.

Here's a shot of a few more Scotch Bonnets pods …
Awesome looking pods brethren ^_^

… Not all the pods on both hold that shape. But that seems normal on my plants.
Agreed, neither do mine but would be cool if they did. I just started some of the Bonnets from the Ft. Lauderdale Farmers Market that Steve aquired and I hope they do o_O

… TFM tastes nice . Haven't tried the MoA yet …
While I’ve tasted both, I’ve never done a side by side compare, all I know is I like them both but given the choice I’d take my MoA’s over TFM any day of da week, hehehe.

Hey thanks Ga Growhead .... Your's look like what I was expecting from pictures I've seen before . I'm thinking mine look a little different in form. Maybe only because I have mine in the hand ..
What's the story on the Sheldon 7s? Kind of remember seeing them mentioned somewhere before, but no idea. They look pretty cool!
Out of three TFMs I ended up with, two are making the pods shown. The other is making less flat pods, the bottom more rounded, but still the same on top.
Hope all is good!

Pulptiteer thanks for the photo . I always thought TFM meant The Farmer's Market ... things get lost with time .

Ga the Sheldon 7s I got from from a guy in Canada ... on THP he was PrairieChilihead . I got a few seeds in 2008 or so . So I named them "Sheldon 7 Pods" . He didn't tell me this but it trickled down to me that he found them at a market and saved seed and started growing them . Darned hot . Looks like the Brain Strain . So to "me" both of these are what a 7 should look like . They are both so hot to me I can't say one is hotter . Both Kill me if I munch on a raw one.  And I Don't eat a whole one ! No videos of the Dread weeping & wailing !!

Peace and all is well in 'Rillo City

Been from a long time and I no post a thing. I've been getting fruit for a while . Thai and Jalapeño at first Nagas shortly after . I got mixed photos here. Select Scotch Bonnets . Doing well ! Ton's of pods. The MoA , TFM , and Pepper Joe's are also changing color at last . Haven't tasted any of those yet. Want to make sure they're ripe so I can save seed .  Hope get plants out earlier next year.

Peace

Select Bonnets. Still looking good but not as much pimples , most still have stingers

I'll take more photos when I get a chance

WOW those Bonnets look nice! I'm very interested in the Rocotillo. Nice to have a few peppers in the garden that aren't face melters. Glad your season is turning out ok! First cool front coming in this weekend?

Chewi ... I might could have had a better season as far the amount of pods I harvested this year , if I would have got things in the ground sooner. But I'm pleased and give thanks . I also got bugs from hell this year. First time I got so many . And cause I was a dip shit and didn't know what young lady bugs look like I dispatched a lot their young life's . Won't do that again !! The L.B.'s started in one section and I found I could take a few to another area and they started breeding there . Cool !! Hope they come back next year. The Praying Mantis eggs I got from Ebay sucked . I saw a few at first when they hatched but never any larger ones thru the summer .

Temps are suppose to drop here too. I still have a lot green pods and some I haven't got ripe ones from yet . St Bart's and Congo . I still have shade cloth up so I'm hoping if it doesn't freeze hard for several days in a row I'll get to harvest more pods.

Peace & Everyone have a great weekend

My season in winding down . I'm sure we'll soon get a freeze harsh enough my shade cloth won't help. My Bonnets & most peppers came in later than I wanted but I'm well pleased. I have tubs and tubs of MoA's , TFM , and Selects in the freezer. Scotch Bonnets are my favorites .... so I'm set for another year. Nuff happy

I've got a decent harvest of others too. Had Bells most the summer and really enjoyed them. Ton's of Thai & Jolly Penos .. I got quite a lot of what I call super hots too. 7 Pods,
Scorpions , Nagas , and others.

I've also ordered a few types of super hots to see if I liked them without growing them. So me Casa gonna' be warm all winter ... Seen ?

Respect to you Ramon
