As far as I know, Pepper Joe and Ed Curry are the sole vendors of the Reaper.... I guess its been long enough that someone 'could' have grown out the plants to get seeds... but I think that would be illegal. Isn't there something about how once you create a new variety, you have a 1 year patent on the genes before others can sell it freely?

Agreed.

Considering the amount of time, effort, and resources that go into achieving fruition on those bad boys... why would you even take a chance on dealing with anyone besides a reputable dealer?

Never heard this, is there something in writing somewhere, or just an urban legend?

Jim Duffy in Cali has seeds too.

The patent may have expired... I don't even know whether there is such a thing... I remember hearing of it somehow, but I cant remember where.

the only thing illegal would be if dude didnt have a business licence. im sure some people have seeds by now, there are lots of pods around. besides, all that though. if i wanted to buy some reaper seeds i guess i would just buy them from the 2 main sources at this time.
