I am also going to isolate a few varieties, maybe I will be able to do some trade here. :)

Let's see the pictures:

That's awesome !

Do you have monitoring/controller systems in your greenhouse ?

Please export part of your production to France, I would love to try you peppers grown under the Hungarian's weather. :)

PHB: Everything is manual at the moment. I'll see if it's possible to export some to France. :)

Well, that's it for now, hope you liked it, I'll try to post some new pictures/information once in a while.
Cheers!

I will definitely follow this thread.

Give us some details, like the size of the greenhouse, how many peppers, how/where will you sell it, etc. I can't wait to know more about your set up ! :)

The greenhouse is 1800m2, but I only use 720m2 for chilies (in the other part there is sweetcorn, but it will be harvested in a few weeks). I am thinking about repotting the chili plugs to bigger pots, and plant them out in the greenhouse after the sweetcorn.
At the moment I have ~2.000 plants in the greenhouse, and another ~1.000 plants in trays (this is more than enough for the first year, hopefully I will be able to use all 4 greenhouses -2825m2- for the chilies in the following years).
In the small greenhouse [25m2], I only planted 27x Moruga Scorpions [Red], will install nettings on both doors to prevent cross-pollination, so if everything goes right I will have a really huge amount of pure Moruga seeds.

To tell the truth I have no idea where will I sell them. Here in Hungary most people don't really know about these chilies (sometimes Habanero, Thai chilies are available in hypermarkets and there are a few growers, but they grow mostly jalapenos/thai chilies/habaneros/bhut jolokias and morugas).
This is my first year, I thought it would be a good move to try to introduce these varieties, make a webshop, a facebook page, and if I can't sell all the fresh pods, dry them or something, we'll see. In the next years I would like to make smoked chilies, maybe pickles or sauces, but at the moment I don't really have time for that.

That's a very good start !

Here also people have no idea about peppers : the only peppers they know are the locals (like Espelette peppers) or classical like Cayenne, birds peppers, Caribbean (habanero) and Thai.

I don't know for Hungaria, but here in France, people don't like so much really spicy food (I mean Cayenne is like "THE" spicy pepper here). But people like challenges. So I guess if you set up a place at the locals market and sell peppers explaining the concept it should work.

At least in Hungaria you got the "Black Hungaria" which is very special (pepper I would love to grow just for the plant). I would probably grow "regional" if I had to start a business (regional stuff usually work even if it's crap ... don't ask me why ...).

Well, here in Hungary people think they can handle heat (Almapaprika and Cherry peppers are from Hungary, and we eat many food spicy), but they don't know about these extremely hot varieties. The main reason I bought "Hungarian Black", "Hungarian Death" and "PI 594136 'Aji Magyar'" is because these are hungarian varieties. I really hope I can start this business, because I just love to grow chilis. :)

Some of my friends said they want to come to the chili eating contest, because "they can handle cherry pepper" [~5.000 SHU]. I told them we are going to eat Habanero [~70x hotter], and hotter varieties, they said they still want to come. We'll see. :)
Of course I am going to make a video of the contest (in 720p if possible). I already made the poster:

[2013-05-16] Finally received the MykoForce (500g):

I will do a side-by-side comparison with some plants.
By the way, anybody knows a good myko seller here in Europe? This was 18 GBP with shipping.

Wow,I will be following this for the rest of the season! Do you rent that section of polytunnel or is the whole entire thing yours? It looks like there is more that you aren't using. Nice work so far.
