Some of you have heard about how I came home Thursday to this:
 
Well, I really wasn't expecting this when I got home today but:

The tree trimmers came today and when all was trimed up and done we had 3 homeless Squirrels
and here's my birthday girl taking care of them.

My daughter took care of these baby's till yesterday Mama Squirrel came looking for her baby's. My mom saw her and watched her for a minute till she realized what was unfolding before her eyes. So she grabbed her Nikon and this is the story in pictures of their Journey Home

Now at this point mom realized that mama squirrel was going to be able to get down into the bucket and out so she sent Kris out to pay the bucket over and slide the old nest out where she could see and reach it.

They were concerned at first that she might refuse then because of the smell of humans on the baby's. Kris did a little JayTing and found out that as long as the squirrels body temp was right mom would accept them. More to come so...

and this happened 2 more times, mama carrying her babes to their new home.
 
This story started on Kris's 21st birthday so I can safely say that she will never forget it. Even though I wasn't here to see it first hand, it was so great to just listen to them telling the story.
