It's official, folks, I have my first official bottles of hot sauce! With the mash I made the other day, and some ingredients, I bottled 27 5-oz bottles in total. Several of them are already spoken for and going to good homes! Here's pics!

Overall the taste is quite sweet, and then the smoky tropical flavors kick in, and gives you the vibe that, despite the pretty awesome heat, you're on a tropical beach somewhere, kicking back and having fun. My pre-orders, I'll label and ship off in the next day or two, and if anyone's interested in a bottle or three, PM me for details!

Why thank you, sir! The hot sauces I've whipped up for gaming nights and events with coworkers have proven to be such a hit at the office, I already have 9 bottles pre-ordered of this batch, and several more folks are in line to get some as well :)

Make that 10 bottles ordered :) One of my friends from college wants one, and my old high school debate coach is debating (no pun intended) whether to get a bottle. I know a couple other people were interested in buying a bottle or two, so before I know it, I may have sold out my first batch :)

That's awesome!

What pepper/peppers is it based on?
For this sauce, I used only Butch T's... 6 pounds worth went into this sauce :)

Nice looking sauce - looks like it has good texture
Oh it does, By some act of $deity, I created it with just the perfect balance of thickness and flow, such that it still flowed and dripped off the spoon I used to stir it, but I could definitely notice that stirring required at least a small measure of effort. I was also pleasantly surprised by how easily it poured into the bottles, and half expected a disaster. Luckily, no such disaster occurred :)

Thank you, sir! I'm stoked, and have almost half the bottles spoken for already!

Great looking sauce. And, good luck with your sales.

If I may ask, what method did you use to fill your bottles? I'm finding that to be the most difficult part.

In my case, I used a food grade funnel to fill them (and by some miracle, I only spilled a couple drops on the counter), but I'm hoping sooner rather than later to get myself the Handy Filler: http://handyfiller.com/

Thanks, it'll be awhile before I can afford one of those. LOL

Even with my day job, it'll take me a bit to afford it. Once I get it though, it'll be awesome to have, and make things so much simpler than the funnel method! I guarantee you, I would've been done in 1/3 the time if I had the Handy Filler.

It's official! of the 27 bottles, 22 have already been sold or spoken for, leaving me with just 5 bottles of the sauce. There's a couple on the fence right now as well. The first reviews are already in, saying the sauce has a smoky-sweet tropical flavor, and that the heat keeps building and building to a crescendo.

I'd call that a successful batch! :)

Here is by far the funniest and most awesome review I've gotten so far of this hot sauce, from a friend who bought 3 bottles, and loves eating spicy food:

"OMG, WARNING...WARNING...there's a reason why he calls this "Sadistic." You have to be sadistic to use this hot sauce! I tried a drop, yes...just a tiny drop on a piece of chicken...DON'T DO THAT FOLKS! I immediately reached for a pitcher, no, not a glass...a PITCHER of iced tea. Of course you know that only made it worse!. I followed it by a 1/2 roast beef sandwich, still burning...I love it! I will definitely be using this in a gumbo, some jambalaya, ...but not by itself...whooooooaaaaa!!! Well worth the $$$ spent. Great jobl!"

Great looking sauce!  I think my wife would shoot me if I bought that bottle filler :)

Thanks! I broke down and plunked down the money for it over the weekend, and it should be arriving later today. And I still have a bottle of the sauce left, if you feel like purchasing one :)
