Ok, on to another really cool and delicious pepper from Amazonas state in Brazil, the Mata frade. 
 
Very different flavour to the Cumari du Para, even though they are also C.chinense. Great flavour, though.
 
Another absolute winner and the plants are purple. What more could you ask???

I'm struck by how juicy these little Cumari du Paras, and Mata frades are, almost like maraschino cherries.  Besides eaten straight off the plant, how would you use these in the kitchen?
