air vs forced drying peppers

ok i have one for you outside vs forced air in a dryer

what i am asking who is hanging peppers outside in the sun and wind  vs those that use a dehydrator?

 or what do you prefer?

other side of that is what do you think has a better end product?

so what are your thoughts on these drying methods?

I cut mine in half, deseed them then let them air dry for three or four days. Then I put them  in the oven to completely dry out. It usually only takes about twenty minutes.

I cut mine in half also and put them outside.. with the current heat and humidity  it takes less than a day to dry.. Ahh the joys of living in Arizona..:)

I've read somewhere that when u airdry u loose some of the taste and the color (They could be wrong as I've never dried
outside before and over here its way too humid and cold after harvest to do so).
The dehydrator works just fine here but yeah, that uses up power...
