Hubbard squash, lentil, lemondrop stew

I taste a sliver of pepper, evaluate it for heat and flavor, then cook, or my lady does depending on our work schedules.
 
#6  Garden fresh winter squash stew with red lentils and aji lemon peppers and fresh herbs
 
The aji lemon peppers were provided by provided by smileyguy.  Very sweet, fruity, and super citrusy.  Thanks again Mike, I am still making my way through that hot box.  Aji Lemon's don't have enough heat for me but still are quite spicy.  I think my lady was ready for a step down from the high heat level we have been working with lately.  
Roasted hubbard squash, with carrots, onions, celery, red lentils, 4 aji lemons, all cooked down in a dutch oven.  She added some cayenne powder to spice it up a bit as well.  Added fresh basil, mint, and parsley just before serving it.  The flavor went quite well with the sweetness of the squash and carrots in the stew.
 
These are the Aji Lemons we used.

This is the final product, served with garden fresh sungold, and golden grape tomatoes.  

 
The spice went nicely with the sweetness of the fresh tomatoes and squash stew.  
 
Sweet and spicy always a good combo, especially with a nice white wine.
