Latitude64's Glaagghh

Hello!

Im new posting here and I thought it would be nice to document some of the growing. I will start off with some photos of what I've started already to be ready for next season. Living far north making it a short season, even though we have long days with light in summer. This season I started sowing as late as april-may so this time around I want to be ready! :)

Here's some of the seeds that have sprouted:

Hot Banana

Naga Morich

Carolina Reaper

Bhut Jolokia Chocolate

How does growing peppers work inside the arctic circle, in Umea?

I have 2 good friends who are Professors at Umea University.

That's cool that you know some people here!

This is my first season growing peppers, so I dont know what to compare to. If you only would grow outdoors it's a short period for sure. I did some plotting of a graph of this years temperature so far and it looks like this:

I cut down one of my "aphidized" African Red Devil plants to see if I could create some bonchi. I am suprised how fast it has grown new leafs and branches.  Anyone else making bonsai of chilis?
