Great opening by Hitchcock same as usual tongue and cheek type humor.
Love it!

Story has his usual twists and the ending comments.
Great stuff.Grew up on it.

Ah Memories! My wife kids me all the time that I am starting to look like Alfred Hitchcock, because of my ever so growing belly. I guess I need to start dieting because, old Alfred don't look so big to me anymore.

I was VERY young when the show was on the air.
I liked his movies but I think the TV shows he did showed as much or more of his genus than the movies.
TV shows were 30-60min.
Hitchcock presents and the other hour long show.

A lot more work in general than a movie.
He developed a lot of filming styles, camera angles etc.

A movie has time to be edited etc.
Weekly shows were filmed in a lot shorter time period...HAD to be as good.

I like his sense of humor combined with his balance of suspence/story twists.

I only saw the end of his movies and shows ,but my Mother had a lot of paperbacks like Rope or whatever that I read as a kid.

Only person I like almost as much on TV was Rod Serling.

Youtube has a lot of stuff I grew up on,Hitchcock,Boris Karloff , Lon Chaney,Christopher Lee,Bella Lugosi,Peter Lori and Humphrey Bogart among others.

As a kid, monster movies, murder mysteries and Science fiction (nuclear or Alien attacks) were the common thing(early 60's to mid 70's).
Cuban Missle crises etc.Nuclear stuff was pretty much considered as having unknown effects at the time.
I guess the last, not so good show I can think of was the Hulk.
The end of an error.

I remember the movies about nuclear waste being the cause for giant ants, ddt being the cause for killer frogs etc.
These movies, though it was sold as Horror films at the time, is somewhat what ended up happening now-disease resistant stuff that only high doses of antibiotics kill,Nature will always adapt.

I guess Zombies rule now from what I see.
It was started with the movies way back when-Vincent Price-Last man on earth and other films.
Body snatchers etc. were similar movies.

GMO stuff being able to cross natural boundaries or whatever.

Heck,read Jules Verne's stuff.
How much of his stuff is reality now?
Scuba, electricity made from Sea Water etc.
Science has done what was fiction WAY back then.

These writers were great, still to this day.
I'm only 59 years old.
I never thought I'd post anything like this on a PEPPER site.

With all the hype about supers ruling the day, most are unstable stuff sold for big $.

It's a waste of time hanging out if you are into peppers.
Crosses rule, toss out the pure stuff in general.
Rare wilds or whatever,$ rules and F1 crosses too.

Sad that I even posted this one on a pepper site.
Just a parrallel to what is going on these days I guess.

Your wife will love his intro etc for this one.
