The 2014 season has just begun.

First up is c. pubescen Canario.

More details later.

Hey, Jason - off to a good start there, my man!

What is the c. pubescens Canario like?
Never heard of that one.

Good luck with your grow this season, my friend!

Looking forward to seeing this unfold! When do you normally get plants in the ground?
Thank you! Normally around the end or April/beginning of May. I have started 12 varieties early, mainly  to get the c. pubescens going in hope of some pod set before the heat kicks in. Take care my friend!

Very nice, Jason!
Thanks Doc! You have crossed my mind a few time as of lately. Been meaning to check to see when you where last active on here. Hope all is well and that you are loving your new place.

Is that a hook I spy. How do you like those peat balls? Nice job Jason.
Thanks Scarecrw! I really dig the peat pellet. I always seem to have high germination rates with them. I like the mobility of them the most. Anytime i use a multi-cell trays with starter soil on heat mats, I always have issues with seeds on the sides. Luckly last season, My shelving system i made, with HO T5s, keep the top shelf at about 82˚ to 85˚ & seeds seem to just pop without using the heat mat. Four more hooks tonight!

Looking good Jason! I need to start my new log too. A lot of seeds from pods you sent me have popped well. Thank you.

Good luck with your season

Thanks Mike!

Thanks Paul!
I had to look that one up & it's just a more common yellow manzano/rocoto. It should more yellow than orange.
I started 6 different Pubescens. I have another one hooking, a Brown rocoto, tonight.
Thanks for the luck & back at you with growing wishes!

See what germinates before making your list ;) .

Looking good, they'll be huge plants in no time.
True true. Never count the chickens before they hatch. :)
I was really talking about what makes the germination list. Lots of good choices.
I have two rococo Inca's coming up! Thank you kind sir!

Here is today's update.

(I put three seeds in each pellet)

Way to go with the pubescens, Jason!
Awesome you have several different types!

Will be interesting to see how they all compare.
Right now I'm growing Orange Manzano only,
but want to try some other varieties in the future.

Good lock luck going forward, my friend!

Awesome Ga GH!

Did you do any kind of treatment before placing them in the pellets?

Good move on starting the pubescens early, Jason.  And the Pimenta de Neyde, too; I was surprised how slow-growing that one was for me last year.  I need follow suit soon on getting some of these going.

happy growing this coming season    ....you guys manzanos and rocotos germs so fast never had luck with them... :tear:

Thank you Paul! I wanted to have a selection for taste and to see what does best in my climate. First time growing any pubescens, so hoping they do well.
