I thought I'd share my recent experience. I posted a couple of weeks ago how I like to use DEFCON 0 in chicken marsala. Well, my wife and I had a couple over Friday night. One of them claims to be a hot sauce afficionato, so I asked them if it was okay to make the marsala sauce the way I have been.....with DEFCON 0. The woman declined, but the man, my friend, said go ahead.
Anyway, I forgot how much I used the last time, and, frankly, I don't use measuring spoons, et.al. when I cook, so apparently this batch turned out a little hot.....
Next thing I knew, my wife and my friend were guzzling down their glasses of wine, and then proceeded to drink water. Oops!!!!
I really didn't try to fry my friends. I don't have many left ;-), afterall. I guess I went a little over the top.
For the record, I thought it was one of my better batches. I guess I'll have to tone it down a little in the future. That is, of course, if I want anyone to eat my cooking ever again....
